ππΌπ³π ππΌπΌππ΅||π¦ππ§π§π§π is an interdisciplinary sound/movement performance and research project that blends sound sculpture, performance, movement, and video projection to explore intimacy, resonance, and relationality. A collaboration between Stephanie Patsula (sound/movement/installation) and eryn tempest (dance/multimedia/voice)Β ππΌπ³π ππΌπΌππ΅||π¦ππ§π§π§π investigates theΒ ways bodies and spaces relate through resonance and the types of touch elicited through sound, movement, and vibration.
At the intersection of somatic research and experimental sound creation, ππΌπ³π ππΌπΌππ΅||π¦ππ§π§π§π reframes the materiality of sound in terms of somatic interiority, and spatial exteriority.Β

These images were devised and shot while in residenceΒ at DUPLEX AiRΒ in Lisbon, May 2022.
They are a continuation through new mediums of our past collaborative research bridging the materiality, aesthetic, and conceptual interests of both Stephanieβs and my individual creative practices. Through ππΌπ³π ππΌπΌππ΅||π¦ππ§π§π§π we are exploring sound, movement, and now, image. π¦π»πͺπ²π½π± explores ideas of the pastoral combined with the uncanny, the vivid, the frightful. In this series we were thinking through mimicry as found in moths and butterflies as well as the hyper-vivid patterning and bio-luminescence of sea slugs.
